IBEX is an educational branch of ASELSI that provides quality Bible education to leaders and pastors in rural communities throughout Guatemala. Classes are held at fourteen extension centers in remote areas of the country. Students spend two years in the program and receive valuable degrees in Theology and Practical Ministry.

IBEX was started in 2000 and since then, it has seen over 450 students graduate. Currently, there are 331 students in the extension centers with a large number of students to graduate this year alone.

By bringing seminars to rural areas, holding conferences, utilizing local churches and teaching centers, John and the ASELSI team are discipling and imparting direction and doctrine to hundreds of leaders who are hungry to know God. John's vision is to impart sound, Biblical principles that will enable these men and women to lead in understanding and the love of Christ.

A note from John:
"We have had the privilege of seeing over 750 students who have graduated or are now taking our courses. It has been our joy to see lives, ministries, and even whole villages transformed by the power of God. Our students are humble Indians who absorb our teachings with intensity and immediately look for ways to DO what they have learned. We are in very fertile ground and those who are sowing into the ministry are sowing where the Lord is blessing. Thanks to all the prayers and very faithful givers, we will see more fruit then ever in the future."
